Then release the clips on the lower part of the grille shell by squeezing them. Work from one side of the grille to the other.
Install Step #6:
With the grille shell off the vehicle, place it on a sturdy surface to install the new GrillCraft Mesh Insert.
Install Step #7:
Place the new insert onto the grille shell and line up the two pieces. You may need to remove the lower grille shell trim if needed.
Install Step #8:
Use a sharp scribe tool to mark the location of the mounting tabs along the grille.

Install Step #22:
To mount the wiring harness, we need to access the battery and windshield cowl. Start by removing the weather stripping on the cowl.

Remove the two 10mm nut & bolt securing the cowls on the left and right side of the car.
Install Step #24:
Flip open the wiper cover and remove the 13mm nut securing the windshield wiper.

With both cowls off, the engine bay should look as so.
Install Step #29:
With the wiring harness unwrapped, mount the relay in the center of the cowl at the existing mounting stud behind the windshield wiper linkage.
Install Step #30:
Here's an up-close image of how the relay mounts using the included 10mm nut and washer.
Install Step #31:
To route the light switch into the vehicle, we will utilize the vehicles existing bulkhead grommet. To access, remove the black cover by releasing the three clips using a flat blade screwdriver.
Install Step #32:
Make a small slit into the rubber grommet and route the wiring into the interior.
Install Step #33:
The two connectors for the lights will run along the driver side of the vehicle parallel to the hood release cable. You may zip-tie the harness to this cable.
Install Step #34:
Route the plugs through the opening beside the headlight and through the bumper cover.
Install Step #35:
Plug the harness and lights together ensuring the connectors are secure then tuck the wiring behind the bumper cover.
Install Step #36:
The harness should be tucked as neat as possible, away from any moving components.
Install Step #37:
To install the switch, we move to the interior of the vehicle. We'll mount our switch to the plastic trim to the left of the speedometer, but you may mount it wherever accessible to you.
Install Step #38:
First, we'll remove the lower knee panel cover below the steering wheel. Remove the three T20 Torx screws securing it to the dash assembly.
Install Step #39:
Once the hardware is removed, simply pull it away from the dash assembly and it will unclip.
Install Step #40:
Note the switch will now be visible through the cowl grommet, be cautious to not pull or damage the wires.
Install Step #41:
On the left side of the dash, remove the small circular cover.
Install Step #42:
Then remove the left side dash cover plate.
Install Step #43:
The two T20 Torx screws shown in the image will now be accessible to remove.
Install Step #44:
Underneath the dash, remove the two T20 Torx screws securing the left side dash trim.
Install Step #45:
To access the remaining hardware, you'll need to unclip the piano black interior trim in the image. Simply pull it forward using your hands or a pry tool will work. You do not need to remove it completely, as the hardware is accessible with it slightly out of the way.
Install Step #46:
You can see the two T20 Torx screws you'll need to remove behind the piano black trim.
Install Step #47:
Turn the lefthand vent cover to the left and remove the final screw to release the trim piece.
Install Step #48:
Use a 3/4" drill bit (step drill bit works too) to make the mounting hole for the switch.
Install Step #49:
The switch is now installed with the optional Switch Extension Harness. You may utilize the Switch Extension Harness if you need extra wiring to mount your switch. Simply match up the wire colors and plug them into the switch, doing them one at a time will help with any confusion as to where the wires go on the switch.
Install Step #50:
Route the wiring through the existing hole in the dash and tuck any wiring out of the way of the footwell.
Install Step #51:
Any excess wiring can be tucked away behind this access hole behind the dash, or pulled into the windshield cowl.
Install Step #52:
With the wiring fitted, reinstall the dash trim in reverse of removal.
Install Step #53:
Route the power leads to the battery, and fasten them to the battery posts using the washers provided to secure properly. Reinstall the cowl covers and wiper arms and the install is complete.
