(CHE-1520) Chevy Silverado MX / SW Series Upper Grille Kit

Install Step #1:
Our Project Chevy Silverado In Need of a GrillCraft Grille.
Install Step #2:
Under the hood, remove the clips holding the upper plastic fan cover using a flat-blade screwdriver.
Install Step #3:
With all clips removed, the cover comes right off.
Install Step #4:
Next remove the (4) 10mm bolts securing the top of the grille shell to the core support.
Install Step #5:
In the wheel-wells, you'll need to remove the (2) screws that secure the sides of the upper bumper trim.
Install Step #6:
From underneath the truck, remove the (4) bolts securing the lower portion of the grille shell.
Install Step #7:
The outer bolts are located near the corners.
Install Step #8:
Once all bolts are removed, pull-out the edges of the bumper trim which will unclip from the vehicle.
Install Step #9:
After unclipping the bumper trim, the grille shell should unclip from the vehicle. The assembly comes off in one piece.
Install Step #10:
For Black-Centered grille shells, you'll need to cut the plastic honeycomb out using an air-saw. Only cut the honeycomb webbing and not the outer plastic.
Install Step #11:
Once cut, place the new mesh inserts into their corresponding openings.
Install Step #12:
Using a sharp scribe, mark the locations of the mounting holes. Be sure fitment is even before making any marks.
Install Step #13:
Using a 3/16" drill bit, drill the holes needed to mount the mesh insert.
Install Step #14:
Locate the included hardware.
Install Step #15:
Using the hardware included, mount the mesh insert to the grille shell as shown.
Install Step #16:
The center tabs will clamp against the grille shell as shown.
Install Step #17:
For Chrome-Centered grille shells, the install procedure is as follows.
Install Step #18:
Use a Flat-Blade screwdriver to unclip the chrome honeycomb inserts from the grille shell.
Install Step #19:
Place the new mesh inserts into their corresponding openings and mark the locations of the tabs using a sharp scribe tool.
Install Step #20:
Using a 3/16" drill bit, drill the holes required for mounting.
Install Step #21:
Locate the included hardware.
Install Step #22:
Mount the grille using the included hardware as shown.
Install Step #23:
The center tabs will use the longer screws and spacers and screw directly into the plastic.
Install Step #24:
Reinstall the grille shell onto the vehicle & installation is complete! Our Project Chevy Silverado Shown Here In Our Black MX-Series Mesh.

Install Step #26:
Our Project Chevy Silverado Shown Here In Our SW-Series Polished Stainless Steel Woven Mesh.
