Picture #1:
Our 2008-2010 Project Ford SuperDuty in need of a GrillCraft MX-Series Mesh Grille.

Picture #2:
Using a screwdriver remove the factory plastic screw clips securing the grille shell. These clips are located along the top portion of the center grille and side vent openings.
|

Picture #3:
Remove the two bolts located on the back side corner of the grille shell.
|

Picture #4:
Place plastic pry bar under grille shell in order to release grille shell clip.
|

Picture #5:
Now remove grille shell from vehicle.
|

Picture #6:
The grille shell center section must be cut out. Cutting the two outer vent opening is optional.
|

Picture #7:
Using a saw cut the center section grille bars out.
|

Removing grille center bars.

Picture #9:
Grind the cut area flush using a grinder.
|

A look the cut area after grinding.

OPTIONAL: Cutting the side vent grille openings.

We decided to paint our grille shell backing portion.

Use "Flat Black" spray paint when painting the grille shell backing.

Place grille shell vents into the grille shell. The mounting tabs are to be positioned on the top inner. Mark mounting tab center hole locations.

Picture #16:
Drill 3/16 inch holes for the mounting screws.
|

Picture #17:
Place center grille into grille shell opening. While holding grille insert firmly in place mark mounting tab center hole locations.

Picture #18:
Drill holes for the mounting screws using a 3/16 inch drill bit.
|

Picture #19:
Remove the grille shell reinforcement temporarily in order to get access to the new grille screw holes.

Removing grille shell reinforcement.

The grille mounting screw and "Flat" nuts.

Place the screw and "flat" nut into the drilled holes.

Fasten grille insert screws.

Reinstall grille shell reinforcement.

The grille shell is ready to be install back onto vehicle.

We recommend painting the are behind the grille with "Flat Black" spray paint.

Install grille shell onto vehicle.

Use the factory grille shell fastners and bolts.

Insert factory grille fastners from the underside as shown.
