Here is our project GMC Yukon in need of a GrillCraft Custom SW Series Sport grille for added styling.

Start by removing the bolts that secure the plastic trim panel as shown.
|

Remove the two bolts located in the right & left side of the upper grille as shown.
|
Picture #4:
Using a flat screw driver reach in behind the grille and unclip the grille fastner.

Here is a view of where the grille shell clips to the bumper cover.

Remove the GMC emblem. The emblem can be attached to your new custom grille using clear epoxy or silicone from the back side.

The GMC logo base area must be cut out for clearance reasons as shown.

We will cut out the grille shell center in this install.

We will cut out the grille shell center in this install using a air saw.

A view of the grille center removed make sure not to cut the lower bolting area.

Place grille insert into grille shell and mark mounting tab center holes.

Drill 3/16 inch hole for the mounting screws.

Painting the mounting tabs with black touch-up
paint will make for a good looking install.

Place grille into the shell for final fitment.

Fasten grille into the grille shell using supplied hardware (make sure to paint screws with black paint)

Remove the factory "U" nut attached to the bumper cover as shown.

Paint the grille opening edge with flat black spray paint this will give your install a better look.

Paint the factory "U" nut with flat black paint as shown.

Picture #22:
The factory "U" nut must be installed onto the grille shell bolt mounting area do not install it onto the bumper cover.

Mounting factory "U" nut onto the grille shell.

Picture #24:
Place grille shell into bumper cover and clip into place. Next install grille bolt from the backside.
